Karate Training FAQs

At what age can my child start karate training?

Children can begin our specialized kids karate program as early as 5 years old. We focus on basic movements, discipline, and fun exercises that develop coordination and confidence. Our youngest students learn through games and activities that teach fundamental karate principles.

How long does it take to earn a black belt?

Typically, it takes 3-5 years of consistent training to earn a black belt in our system. This varies based on individual dedication, attendance, and skill progression through our 10 colored belt levels. We emphasize quality training over rushing through ranks.

What should I wear/bring to my first class?

For your first class, wear comfortable athletic clothing (t-shirt and track pants). We provide loaner uniforms for beginners. Bring water and a towel. All training equipment is provided initially. After enrolling, you'll need to purchase our official karate gi (uniform).

Is karate training safe for older adults?

Absolutely! Our adult programs are tailored to all fitness levels. Karate improves balance, flexibility, and bone density. We offer modified training for seniors focusing on self-defense techniques that don't require high kicks or extreme movements. Many students begin in their 50s and 60s.

What makes ACE Karate different from other dojos?

As Bihar's only WKF-certified training center, we combine traditional Okinawan karate with modern teaching methods. Our certified instructors have competed nationally, and we focus on character development as much as physical skills. We also offer regular belt testing and competition opportunities.
